Anastasia Department Store

          At present, our society's world has mainly communicated to each other by phone through the used of application such as Instagram, Facebook or line and etc. which make people get addicted to the social media things.

          Social media is not used only for communicating but also for post something to the internet and get some likes from the others and that's what "Social Media's people" proud. Therefore, this kind of people will leave some of their time to go to the place that trendy in each time.

From this observation, I decided to design a department store that provided spaces for the social media people by created the space to be more attractive through the decoration of itself. The decoration will be constructed on the roof part and created by the light-optical effect that I have already research and study with.

         To sum up, Anastasia's Department store is the space that created the idea of selfie park and has a purpose to appeal people by the decoration of optical effect.

This will be located in between Central Chidlom and Central Embassy to create a new connection area between them.

Anastasia's Department Store

            Due to the Anastasia city which a City of Desire. In the book, he describes this city to be filled with desires of all sorts, ranging from gems, jewels, women, and food. As soon as you enter, you are tempted with all of these, which leads you to the heart of the city. Once at the heart, you are completely surrounded by these which blind you to only seeing these things. Even if you do not desire them, you will soon enough because you are completely engulfed within them. You become part of the city and are now creating the jewels and gems that first lured you in, creating a vicious cycle of wandering to enslavement.

             At presents, many department store try to design their space to fullfill people needed similar to Anastasia city ideas. However, some are succeeded with that idea but some are not. Therefore, I was thinking about social media which people at all levels are extremely addicted at presents.

            Thus, I start to research about socail media activity that harmony with space. Later, I founded out that socail media people have purposed to make liked in thier account such as facebook, instragram and etc. Not only in thier status but mainly in photo. Therefore, I thingking about art that decorated in space which is optical illusion in different kind of technique.

             About site, I choose the emty space between Central Chitlom and Central Embassy that now have nothing. So I want to built the new connection between this two places and also bring a new landmark in this area. This new public interior will create both benefit to us and deparment store.

INVISIBLE CITIES VI - Cities and Desire

The college that I have done to simulate the environment of Anastasia city

 In the city with full of beauty and happiness called ‘Anastasia', the female name that came from ‘Anasrasius’ which is a Greek revival. The city consists of concentric circles with layers of existence and sustenance when you look up in the sky you can see kites that flying all over your head. Moreover, a gate, a metamorphic and onyx which is rare and valuable could be found here also the beautiful bathing women and their water, like the rebirth of baptism. All of this that I had mentioned is the awakening of needed and wanted in every human thought.

• kites flying, or risen above the earth; 

• agate, a metamorphic, or volcanic, and therefore changed and risen to a more beautiful and perhaps perfect state, rock;

• and so on, yet despite all this, the city is described as treacherous, and so it must be, as its desires are never your desires and you must "do nothing but inhibit this desire and be content."  Is there, therefore, no choice?  Can't you just leave Anastasia, or is this some sort of Metacity where everyone who is alive inhabits?  Is Anastasia herself life?

Therefore, the city could be described as a treacherous city which could make you lost in their world. However, if you have chance to get in to this city as a stranger you will too full of Anastasia’s treasures, you will believe you are enjoying yourself and even fulfilling your needed, yet you are only fulfilling her needed, and it will make you not rise again, like you are stuck eternally in this circle canal.

As you can see this characteristic of Anastasia city similar to our city ‘Bangkok’ which fully of entertainment such as Khaosan or Cowboy roads. All of this content of sexy girls, gambling or fake happiness that will make some tourists lost in this fake desires worlds with their thought that this is the real happiness with full of their need. In contrast, they needed to wake up from this happiness dream someday and came up to live in their real world.
