Moriana Invisiblecity
I read the text of Italo Calvino 's
invisible city, selected collages from a number of cities appearing in the
text, and made a collage.This visualizes the invisible city by
collage and understands the characteristics of the city.
I chose a city called Moliana.
I judged from the text that it was a
sensual beauty city and expressed its two-face. This feature is a feature that
can be found in any city.Two-face is also noticeable in Bangkok. When
thinking about public space, I thought how to deal with these two aspects is a
big problem.
Phase2
Escalator Matrix
I focused on part of the mall which can be said as a huge public space. In order
to become a rich public space from now on, I thought about how the focused ones
relate. It makes it easier to organize by making it one portrait.
I focused on an escalator that is
indispensable for the mall.
Escalator is a device that fills the height
difference continuously without stress.
In addition, I think that it is a device
that can control the flow of people.
I felt the possibility of creating a rich
public space in considering the use of effective escalators in Thailand where
the stratification is going on.
